Official: Crystal Palace loan out former Nigeria U16 international left-back
Published: September 19, 2023
With a statement on their official website, Crystal Palace have announced that Nigerian-born left-back Kelvin Agho has joined FK Voždovac on loan for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.
The Crystal Palace defender spent last season on loan at STK 1914 Šamorín in Slovakia, and he will now continue his development at the Serbian Superliga club.
A former Nigeria U16 international, Agho was a key member of the Future Eagles squad to the 2019 International Dream Cup and that same year, he trained with the Golden Eaglets ahead of the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup.
A product of IB Sports Dreams Football Club, Agho also turned out for fellow Abuja based academy Hypebuzz Academy prior to joining Crystal Palace in the summer of 2022.
The 19-year-old offers versatility in a variety of positions as he is comfortable playing as a marauding left-back, left midfielder and left-sided central defender.
Allnigeriasoccer.com had previously exclusively reported that Agho's contract at Crystal Palace would keep him at Selhurst Park until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Agho's transfer to FK Voždovac is subject to the issuance of an International Transfer Certificate.
After seven matches in the Serbian Superliga, Agho's new employers FK Voždovac are fourth in the standings with 12 points ahead of their trip to Spartak Subotica on Friday.
