Revealed : Length of contract signed by Crystal Palace new boy Agho
Published: September 16, 2022
Premier League club Crystal Palace announced the signing of 18-year-old Kelvin Agho for their youth team earlier this week, without revealing the financial terms and length of contract signed by the versatile left-footed Nigerian fullback.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Agho put pen to paper on a 34-month deal that will see him remain at Selhurst Park until June 30, 2025 if the two parties honour the agreement.
A product of Hypebuzz Academy in Abuja, the defender's transfer to the Eagles was completed before the close of the summer transfer window.
Although Agho has been included on Crystal Palace's Premier League roster, he won't be eligible to represent the Eagles in the top flight until at least next summer as he has been loaned out to ŠTK 1914 Šamorín in Slovakia for the remainder of the season to continue his development.
The deal that took Agho to Crystal Palace was brokered by the agency that handles the affairs of another Crystal Palace teenager of Nigerian descent, Malcolm Ebiowei.
Apart from Ebiowei and Agho, Crystal Palace have registered Michael Olise, Victor Akinwale, Ademola Ola-Adebomi, David Omilabu, David Ozoh and Owen Goodman on their Premier League roster as U21 players, while Ebereche Eze was named in the main list.
