Official: Norwich City loan out 2023 Flying Eagles invitee to Chelmsford City
Published: November 06, 2023Through official channels, Championship outfit Norwich City have confirmed that 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Kenny Coker has been loaned out to Vanarama National South club Chelmsford City.
Coker, who trained with the Flying Eagles squad in Abuja before the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, is leaving Norwich City on a temporary basis in search of first team football.
All the paperwork has been completed between Norwich City and Chelmsford City for Coker's short-term loan move and the striker is available for selection in the Clarets' next league game against Dartford at the Princes Park on Tuesday.
This season, Coker has played in five matches for the Canaries in the Premier League 2, all of them as a substitute.
The 19-year-old joined Norwich City from Southend United in 2021 and has played for the club's academy and development setup.
Born in Atlanta, United States of America to an English mom and Nigerian father, Coker is eligible to represent the Super Eagles, Three Lions and Stars and Stripes.
He has experienced first team football in the past, making five appearances for Southend United, including games in the League One and League Two.
Chelmsford City are sitting eleventh in the Vanarama National South table with 22 points from fifteen games played ahead of their visit to Dartford.
