'They all wanted him' - Agent reveals Juventus, Milan, Inter showed interest in Udogie before Tottenham move

Stefano Antonelli, an international intermediary who looks after Destiny Udogie, has revealed that Italian giants Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan showed interest in signing Destiny Udogie before his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Super Eagles-eligible left-back was acquired by Tottenham Hotspur in August 2022 and was immediately loaned back to Udinese to continue his development.
Udogie has become an indispensable player for Tottenham, so much so that he has started ten of the twelve matches played by the north London club in the 2023-2024 Premier League.
The 20-year-old was unavailable for selection in the win versus Crystal Palace due to injury and sat out the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers due to a suspension.
His impressive performances for Tottenham Hotspur earned him a first-ever call-up to Italy's senior national team for the 2024 European Championship qualifying matches against Malta and England in October.
"If there is a limit that Italian clubs still cannot overcome, it is the courage of investment. I invite anyone and I challenge anyone to tell me which Italian club did not want him," Antonelli said to Tuttomercatoweb.
"They all wanted him: at that stage, the only one who saw fit to accelerate was Gino Pozzo with Udinese. He took him for €2.8 million and sold him after ten months for €26 million.
"Now with what Udogie is doing he doesn’t have a definite price, but we spoke with Juventus, with Milan, with Inter…
"Everyone liked Destiny, everyone would have liked him but at that moment there was no momentum to define this operation. We don’t invest in Italians is a commonplace that also happened to Udogie,"
Udogie, who has bagged two assists in the Premier League, has a contract at Tottenham until June 30, 2027.
