'I used to too' - Antwerp dazzler Ejuke admits he was a Barcelona fan like his mom but switched to Man Utd

Royal Antwerp dazzler Chidera Ejuke has admitted that he was a fan of Spanish giants Barcelona just as his mother but switched to Manchester United.
For the first time in his career, the CSKA Moscow loanee could be facing Barcelona on Wednesday night when Royal Antwerp take on the Spanish giants on matchday six of the Champions League.
While Antwerp have nothing to play for but pride as they have already been eliminated from the Champions League and have no chance of qualifying for the Europa League, Barcelona are looking to secure qualification to the round of 16 as group winners.
Ejuke was a non-playing substitute against the Blaugrana in the opening round of matches in Group H but is in contention to start tonight, having broken into Antwerp's starting lineup in recent weeks.
Since the start of December, the winger has started every single game played by Antwerp, two in the Jupiler Pro League and one in the Croky Cup, and has repaid the faith of the manager by scoring two goals.
Ejuke's siblings - two brothers and a sister - plus his mother will be hoping to watch the Antwerp number 19 star against a Barcelona side that could parade João Félix, Raphinha and new kid on the block Lamine Yamal.
"My father is football-minded, but so is she. She always wants to see me play. Certainly now, because she is a big Barcelona fan. I used to too, but I switched to Man United," Ejuke said to Het Belang van Limburg (subscription required).
"That seemed smart, because it won the Champions League (in 2008), but now things are more difficult.”
Ejuke has netted three times in thirteen appearances for Antwerp, where he is on loan until the end of the season.
