Fulham to block Tottenham, Monaco from signing Nigerian defender in January window
Published: December 25, 2023
Fulham are ready to block any move for a Super Eagles-eligible defender Tosin Adarabioyo when the transfer window reopens next month.
According to Football Insider, the London-based side is unwilling to let go of the former England youth international despite the risk of losing him for free next summer.
The 26-year-old can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club next month but is not ready to do so, as stated in the report.
Adarabioyo was heavily linked with an exit from the Craven Cottage last summer with Tottenham and Monaco exploring the possibility of signing him but none of the two clubs could strike a deal with Fulham.
The two clubs as earlier reported are back in the race to sign the Manchester Academy product but Fulham's stance would mean they will have to wait till the summer to get his signature.
After struggling with injuries at the start of the season, the right-footed centre-back has forced his way back into Marco Silva's starting XI and has started the last four Premier League games.
Adarabioyo has scored one goal this season in the Premier League which is the same number he recorded last campaign.
