Pictured: Nwaneri trains with Arsenal first team before last game of 2023 at Fulham

England U17 international of Nigerian descent Ethan Nwaneri has been pictured training with Arsenal first team before their final game of 2023 - a Premier League London derby against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta continues to run the rule over Nwaneri with his options in midfield limited.
Although Kai Havertz is available for selection after sitting out the West Ham game due to a suspension, the Spanish football tactician is unlikely to have at his disposal Thomas Partey and Fabio Vieira as they are recovering from injuries.
Nwaneri is inching closer to making his season debut for Arsenal's first team, given that he has received three call-ups in the last one month or so.
The first year scholar was on the bench for the Champions League matches with Lens and PSV before making the matchday squad in the Gunners most recent outing against West Ham.
Nwaneri has been in sensational form for Arsenal youth teams since the start of the season, registering ten goals in nine appearances, including five in one game against Crewe Alexandra in the FA Youth Cup and a hat-trick against Leicester City in the Premier League 2.
Arsenal are aiming to return to winning ways after drawing against Liverpool at Anfield and losing at home to the Hammers.
