2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner offered to several clubs in the United Arab Emirates
Published: February 14, 2024Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow are preparing to bid farewell to 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner with the Super Eagles, Victor Moses.
The retired Nigeria international has entered the final four months of his contract with the Muscovites and negotiations on a new deal have not gotten off the ground, meaning he could be leaving the Red and Whites as a free agent in the summer as things stand.
According to Euro-Futbol, Moses has been offered to several unnamed clubs in the United Arab Emirates, where Spartak Moscow are currently holding a winter training camp as part of their preparations for the second half of the season.
The Nigerian midfielder is among four Spartak Moscow players tipped for the exit door at the end of the current season, the others being Christopher Martins, Pavel Maslov, Leon Klassen.
Moses has been playing for the 22-time league champions since October 2020, initially on loan from Chelsea, before the transfer was made permanent in the summer of 2021.
Overall, he has appeared in 78 official matches, registering ten goals and ten assists.
Moses was one of the stars of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and proof of that is that he was named in the official CAF Team of the Tournament.
The 33-year-old counts Crystal Palace, Wigan Athletic, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham, Stoke City, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan as his previous clubs.
