Cyriel Dessers has been recognized for his impressive performance during Rangers' 5-0 rout of Hearts, with football statistics website Whoscored.com naming him as the Scottish Premiership Player of the Week.
The Nigeria international has also been named in the Team of the Week as expected after inspiring Rangers to a convincing win over Hearts at Ibrox Stadium on February 24.
His brace against Hearts took his seasonal tally in the Premiership to twelve.
After an indifferent start to his Rangers career, Dessers has exploded since the appointment of Philippe Clement, notching 13 goals and four assists through 23 games across all competitions.
His goals have helped Rangers to the top of the Premiership table as they sit first with 67 points, two more than bitter rivals Celtic.
The Scottish Premiership Team of the Week is dominated by Rangers who have contributed six players namely Jack Butland, John Souttar, Rıdvan Yılmaz, John Lundstram, Mohamed Diomande and Dessers.
Eamonn Brophy (Ross County), Mikael Mandron (St. Mirren), Matty Kennedy (Kilmarnock), Alistair Johnston (Celtic) and Stuart Findlay (Kilmarnock) complete the Team of the Week.
Dessers registered four shots against Hearts with two ending up in the back of the net, made one key pass and returned a pass success rate of one hundred percent.
The 29-year-old earned a rating of 8.75/10 for his performance against Hearts.
