West Ham have opened talks with Anglo-Nigerian forward Dominic Solanke over a move to the club in the summer.

As revealed by Footballtransfers,  the impressive Bournemouth striker is being targeted by the Hammers as they seek to bolster their attacking department in the next transfer window.

They had reportedly considered moving for him in the January transfer window alongside Tottenham and Newcastle but the Cherries were unwilling to let him leave.

According to the report, the Hammers manager David Moyes, has held a discussion with the representatives of the Anglo-Nigerian forward over a switch to the London Stadium.

The Super Eagles-eligible forward will add more potency to the Hammers' attack which already has Jarrod Bowen and the lightning Mohammed Qudus.

Solanke's contract with Bournemouth doesn't lapse till 2027 which means West Ham will need to cough out a significant amount of money to acquire his signature.

He has been one of the stand-out strikers in the Premier League this campaign, netting 14 goals in 26 games, the fourth highest in the league and the most he has scored in a season in the English topflight.

With the quality he has shown in front of goal thus far, there will be clubs ready to rival West Ham for his services next summer.
