The starters

Goalkeeper

Stanley Nwabali: Despite conceding two goals, he was unlargely untested for the most part of the game.4.5/10

Defenders

Bright Osayi-Samuel: Despite being played higher up the pitch, the Fenerbahçe right back struggled to impact the game once again.5/10

Chidozie Awaziem:  Gave away the first goal in a ridiculous manner, slipping as he attempted to make a pass. He couldn't replicate his performance against Ghana. 3.5/10

Kenneth Omeruo:  The former Chelsea defender couldn't have done nothing to prevent the goals but wasn't spectacular too misplacing some of his passes and tackles.5/10

Jamilu Collins: The Cardiff full back was handed a rare start but failed to impress as well. 4/10

Midfielders and strikers

Raphael Onyedika: He had a decent game, showed energy and some laudable passes before he was taken off 7/10

Wilfred Ndidi: It was a game to forget for the Leicester City midfielder who looked disinterested all game, lost most of the tackles he contested and should not have completed the 90 minutes of play. 4/10

Alex Iwobi: The Fulham midfielder created one of the Super Eagles best chances of the game but didn't make any noteworthy contribution besides that.6/10

Moses Simon: He got the chance to get on the scoresheet, having been put through on goal by Iwobi but fluffed the opportunity and was forced to come off due to an injury. 4/10

Kelechi Iheanacho: The former Manchester City youth player was one of the few players who could hold his head high after the clash. Dropped deep to connect with his teammates, showed intensity and had his effort saved late on 7/10

The substitutes

Cyriel Dessers: The Rangers striker had a terrible game, missed a glorious opportunity to restore parity for the Super Eagles with the score at 1-0 and didn't worry the Malian defence.4/10

Ademola Lookman: The Atalanta forward couldn't continue his rich vein of form for the Super Eagles when he came on. 4/10
