Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton and Wolves interested in Super Eagles midfielder
Published: April 08, 2024According to HITC, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are among a host of Premier League clubs keeping close tabs on Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
The 27-year-old is into the final months of his contract with Leicester City and it doesn't look as if he will extend his stay at the King Power Stadium beyond this summer.
Thus, a host of clubs within and outside England are keen on snapping him up on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with the Foxes.
Besides Tottenham and Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also monitoring the situation of soon to be free Nigeria international.
Ndidi has a huge experience of playing in the Premier League under his belt, featuring in 192 games and registering 17 goal involvements, thus explaining the massive interest from teams in the English top-flight.
The exit of the the seasoned midfielder will be a huge loss for Leicester City who are in contention to return to the Premier League after a season of getting relegated.
With his experience, Enzo Maresca's side will find it easier to settle into the English top tier division and boost their chances of keeping their top-flight status.
