Lookman names the two most skilful and fastest Super Eagles players, picks five-a-side team
Published: September 11, 2024
Atalanta's Ademola Lookman has revealed his picks for the most skillful players in the current Super Eagles squad, excluding himself.
In an interview with the Counter Attack Podcast, the 26-year-old identified Victor Boniface and Samuel Chukwueze as standout talents in match situations, saying, "I will say me but if I couldn't say me, I will have to say Chukwueze and Boniface.”
Lookman also shared his choices for the fastest players in the squad, naming himself alongside Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ola Aina. He stated, “Bright Osayi-Samuel, Ola Aina, and I have got to put myself in there.”
Similarly, Lookman also selected his ideal five-a-side team from the current Super Eagles lineup.
His choices included Stanley Nwabali in goal, Calvin Bassey in defense, Alex Iwobi in midfield, Moses Simon and Victor Osimhen as forwards.
Lookman played a crucial role as the Super Eagles earned four points in their opening matches of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
He scored twice in Nigeria's 3-0 victory over Benin and was also involved in the goalless draw against Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Since switching allegiance in 2022, Lookman has earned 25 caps for the Super Eagles and scored eight goals.
