Eintracht Frankfurt still have Newcastle's Super Eagles-eligible forward on their radar
Published: October 07, 2025
Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have reignited their interest in Newcastle United forward William Osula after a failed transfer attempt during the summer window.
The 22-year-old was close to joining Frankfurt in the summer transfer window, but the deal collapsed on deadline day, keeping him at St. James' Park.
Despite the setback, Osula has made a strong start to the season, netting three goals and providing an assist in nine appearances across all competitions for the Magpies.
Despite the disappointment, Osula has had a decent start to the campaign with the Magpies, scoring three goals and providing one assist in nine matches across all competitions.
According to German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, Frankfurt remain in contact with Osula's representatives with a view to a potential transfer in the near future.
The Bundesliga side are reportedly considering a loan move during the winter transfer window to bolster their attacking options.
The potential move is viewed as a chance for the young striker to gain consistent playing time and accelerate his development in the sport.
The young forward currently sits behind summer recruit Nick Woltamade and former Brentford striker Yoane Wissa in the pecking order.
Born in Aarhus, Denmark, Osula has represented Denmark at U21 level but remains eligible to play for Nigeria's Super Eagles, as he is yet to make a senior appearance for the Danish national team.
