Nigeria international and Rizespor forward Uche Kalu will depart Turkey for Nigeria next week to attend the burial of his late father, who reportedly passed on in August.
Mustafa Sezgin, the agent of the former Enyimba ace, has told this portal that his client has the approval of the Rizespor hierarchy to undertake the 2,800 miles journey to Nigeria.
''Kalu lost his father few days before he signed for Rizespor. He has not been able to travel to his village because of National Team and club commitments.
''The club allowed him to leave next Monday because he is a very important player and they want to make him happy. There is a possibility that he could miss the match with Manisaspor next weekend ,'' says Sezgin to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Kalu is Rizespor's highest goal scorer in Turkey's second - tier, with 6 goals in 10 matches. Three Super Lig teams are understood to be monitoring his progress.
