Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2026-27 season ahead of Thursday evening's UEFA Conference League fixture against Tromsø, with two forwards of Nigerian descent who joined the club this summer allocated numbers.
2026 Super Eagles invitee Zadok Yohanna, who completed an Allsvenskan-record move to the Seagulls in July, has been handed the number 36 shirt.
Brighton's number 36 shirt has previously been worn by Richie Towell, Steve Sidwell, Charlie Oatway, Gonzalo Jara, Ryan Thomson, Ashley Barnes and Joe O'Cearuill.
Zadok wore the number 36 during pre-season, including in the 3-0 win over AS Roma on August 8, when he made his unofficial debut.
The 19-year-old also wore the number 36 during his time with AIK Stockholm.
Elsewhere, former Nigeria U23 international striker Promise David, who now represents Canada's senior national team, has been assigned the number 12 shirt following his loan move from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise this week.
David wore the numbers 12, 9, 72 and 8 during his spells with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Kalju FC, Sirens FC and Valletta FC respectively.
Zadok and Brighton academy graduate Nehemiah Oriola have been registered for the first leg of the UEFA Conference League playoff.
