Norwegian Eliteserien side Molde have confirmed that Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay until the summer of 2031.
The club announced the agreement on its official website on Thursday, confirming that the 19-year-old Nigerian midfielder will continue his development in Molde’s blue and white colours.
The new agreement comes after a difficult period for the Nigerian, who was involved in a legal case in Norway earlier this year.
Daga was sentenced to six months in prison by the Nordmøre and Romsdal District Court in March after being convicted of committing a sexual act without consent.
He appealed the verdict, which was subsequently overturned by the Frostating Court of Appeal in July, clearing him of the charge.
Following his return to football, Daga quickly made an impact for Molde. He scored during their 4-2 away victory over KFUM Oslo on July 26, producing an emotional celebration after finding the net.
He continued his impressive run in Molde’s next league match, scoring again in the 3-3 draw against Sarpsborg on August 2.
Daga joined Molde ahead of the 2025 season and has now been rewarded with a long-term contract as the Norwegian club continues to invest in his development.
