'Get Orban from Amedspor' - Altay urges Galatasaray to pair Nigerian with Osimhen

Gift Orban’s impressive start to the season has prompted Turkish commentator Oğuz Altay to call for Galatasaray to consider signing the Nigerian forward from Amedspor.

Altay made the suggestion while discussing Galatasaray’s need for another attacking option alongside Victor Osimhen.

Orban joined Amedspor from Hoffenheim on a season-long loan in July, with the agreement including a purchase option that can become mandatory under certain conditions.

The Turkish commentator suggested that Orban could form an effective partnership with Osimhen and urged Galatasaray not to look too far for a striker.

Explaining his proposal, Altay said the club should bring Orban in from Amedspor as a second striker alongside the Nigerian international.

“Let me tell you something. You don't need to look too hard. Get Orban from Amedspor as a second striker alongside Osimhen. I really like Deniz Gül, that's a separate matter, but you'll create an incredible game," he said as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.

Altay then highlighted the qualities that have helped Orban make an immediate impact in the Turkish top flight.

He praised the forward’s pace, ability to beat defenders and variety in front of goal while also noting his contribution when defending as part of the team.

“He scored all kinds of goal. He's very fast, he dribbles past defenders, he scores all kinds of goals. He scores with volleys, headers, long-range shots, placed shots, and he helps with team defense. He's a good player,” he concluded.

Orban has given Amedspor plenty of reason for the praise since arriving in Turkey.

The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and registered two assists in six league appearances this season, giving him nine goal contributions in the opening six matches.
