David Alaba Banking On Home Support To See Off Real Madrid
Published: April 28, 2014
Austrian - Nigerian wingback David Alaba reckons that the supporters of Bayern Munich have a big role to play in their clash against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
The defending champions trail their Spanish opponents 1 - 0 going into the second leg semi-final tie at Fußball Arena München.
“In last year’s Champions League against Barcelona we saw what our fans are capable of, and we need them again now.
“They will push us to attack; we’re aware it won’t be easy as Madrid have great players but we won’t focus on our opponents.
“We concentrate on our strengths. We want to the final in Lisbon. It’s our dream to go through,” David Alaba told uefa.com.
Alaba has made 11 appearances in the Champions League this season, netting in matches against CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plze.
