Spurs LB who chose Italy over Nigeria switches to agent representing five Super Eagles stars
Published: October 15, 2025
Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie has changed his agent, joining Emeka Obasi's Elite Project Group, the football agency that oversees the careers of several key Super Eagles players, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Elite Project Group is one of the most influential football agencies representing African talent, and currently manages Nigeria internationals Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Joe Aribo, Josh Maja and Terem Moffi.
Nigerian agent Obasi also looks after Tyrique George, Chuba Akpom, Andrew Omobamidele, Bukayo Saka, Anthony Dennis, Ahmed Abullahi, Sheyi Ojo, Fred Onyedinma, Hafiz Ibrahim and Victor Udoh.
Udogie's switch to Elite Project Group marks a new chapter in his career as the 22-year-old continues to develop into one of Europe's most exciting young fullbacks.
The highly-rated defender was once a player of interest to the Nigeria Football Federation, who explored the possibility of him representing the Super Eagles.
However, Udogie eventually committed his international future to Italy, making a cap-tying appearance for the Azzurri, having previously played for the U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 teams.
The Verona native of Nigerian descent has gone on to earn 12 caps for Italy, with his most recent appearance coming in the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Norway in June 2025.
Udogie joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2022, and has made 74 all-competition appearances for the north London club, registering six goal involvements.
