Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool Send Scouts To Run The Rule Over Eddy Onazi
Published: May 03, 2014
English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur as well as pacesetters Liverpool will send scouts to the Stadio Olimpico when Lazio confront Hellas Verona in the 36th round of games in the Italian championship.
Rome based newspaper Il Messaggero is reporting that representatives of the British clubs will be in the Italian capital this coming Monday to run the rule over Nigeria international Eddy Onazi.
Tottenham Hotspur are known to be long term admirers of Onazi and offered him a trial after the Fifa Under 17 World Cup around four years ago.
And despite impressing the White Hart Lane chiefs, the red tape rule in the United Kingdom prevented the youngster from signing a contract, having never played an official match for the Super Eagles.
Under contract with Lazio until the summer of 2016, a bid in the region of ten million Euros could tempt the club to do business with interested suitors.
