Dropped Brown Ideye Wishes Super Eagles All The Best
Published: May 28, 2014
Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye has insisted that he has taken the decision of manager Stephen Keshi to omit him from the list of players summoned to a training camp ahead of the World Cup in good faith.
This is the first major tournament Ideye will miss in the last four years since his surprise inclusion amongst the 23 players that represented the Super Eagles at the 2010 World Cup staged in South Africa.
“This is football. Things happen. Still I want to wish success to players, who will feature for Nigeria. Our team can become a real surprise in Brazil.
“ It was a difficult season, so I really need some rest. At first I’ll go to Nigeria with my family and after that – to Miami,” Ideye said to the official website of Dynamo Kiev, fcdynamo.kiev.ua.
Finally, the 25 - year - old admitted that the Kievites and himself failed to meet the targets set when the season ended.
