Stephen Keshi Refuses To Write Off Argentina Based On Iran Match
Published: June 25, 2014
Thanks to a stoppage time goal from Lionel Messi, Argentina managed to defeat Iran 1 -0 in their penultimate Group F fixture before the meeting with the Super Eagles on Wednesday.
Despite the South American opponents failing to shine on that day as well as struggling to beat Bosnia and Herzegovina in their opening game,Stephen Keshi refused to write off the two - time World Cup winners ahead of the Super Eagles confrontation with them.
“Every game has its own characteristics. The way the players have played in the last match will be different from this.
“I can take two or three little things, but I will not fully use what I saw of the tactics of Argentina, because I am sure that tomorrow (today) will be different style of play, the whole game will be different,” Keshi said at a press conference.
The meeting between both continental powerhouses comes up this afternoon in Porto Alegre, starting from 1700 hours Nigeria time.
