Swedish - Nigerian striker Kennedy Igboananike netted his fifth goal of the season as his team AIK lost 3 - 1 to Helsingborg on Monday evening in the Premier League.

The 25 - year - old ’s strike just after the hour mark was to save some face for the away team, after they found themselves three goals down within the first 45 minutes.

Christoffer Andersson opened scoring for Helsingborg in the 38th minute before a brace from David Accam gave Roar Hansen’s charges a three - goal cushion.

Kennedy Igbonanike’s other goals in the topflight this season has come in matches against Orebro, IFK Göteborg, Halmstad and Gefle.

He was linked with possible moves to Lille, Deportivo La Coruna and Cordoba in the summer transfer market.
