Abdul Ajagun Opens Goalscoring Account In Europe

Mathematically, Panathinaikos have no chance of progressing to the next stage of the Europa League after losing 3 - 2 at home to PSV in a Group E fixture on Thursday night.

The Greece vice - champions started the tie at the Stadio Apóstolos Nikolaidis with former Flying Eagles skipper Abdul Ajagun.

And it was the attacking midfielder who put their noses in front in the 11th minute but the guests equalized 16 minutes later through Memphis Depay.

It was the 21 - year - old’s first - ever goal in a European competition in his seventh appearance.

Shortly before half time, the Greens restored their one - goal advantage but two chances converted by De Jong and Wijnaldum  secured PSV their second win in the competition.

Abdul Ajagun has scored 4 goals in all competitions so far this season.
