Published: March 30, 2015
Former Nasarawa United glovesman Godson Uzoma Ihedioha has completed his transfer to Peruvian club Sport Boys del Callao by penning a one - year contract.
Ihedioha arrived the South American country in 2013 from his Nigerian club, promptly signing a deal with Alianza Cristiana, but his new club failed to complete the tournament.
Left as a free agent, he later trained with Peruvian Second Division side Walter Ormeño but nothing came out of it.
“I’m happy to be here. We have a strong team and I feel we can fight for the title.
“I’m a forward, but I can play as goalkeeper If the coach believes in me, ” Godson Uzoma told CMD cable channel.
Sport Boys del Callao are coached by former Peruvian striker Paul Cominges.
Uzoma is not the only African at Sport Boys, as Ivorian full-back Hervé Kambou is an important member of the squad.
