Odion Ighalo Bags Brace For Watford In Win Against St Albans
Published: July 09, 2015
Watford have started preparations ahead of their Premier League opener, with a friendly against St Albans on Wednesday at St Clarence Park.
Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo helped himself to a pair of goals as the Hornets thrashed the Conference South side 4 - 0.
Ighalo started and completed the game against the Saints while Scotland international Ikechi Anya was replaced by Paredes 17 minutes from time, but there was no place in the squad for the young striker Uche Ikpeazu,
It is unclear at this point if the former Udinese and Lyn Oslo striker will remain at Vicarage Road when the window shuts, with reports linking him with a couple of English Premier League teams.
Watford are scheduled to take on AFC Wimbledon, Verl, Eintracht Braunschweig, Paderborn, Cardiff City plus Sevilla in their pre-season friendlies ahead of their first EPL fixture with Everton.
