Ex-Super Eagles’ playmaker, Etim Esin has been lined up to deliver a motivational lecture hinging on Orientation and Discipline to football academy players that would be featuring in the 3rd edition of ‘2015 Frenage Soccer Summit’ slated for 3rd to 8th August in Ibadan, inside the soccer main-bowl of Lead City University.
The lecture was part of the activities lined-up for the grand event which was conceptualized by the Ibadan based soccer school, Frenage International Soccer Academy to celebrate Nigerian football at the grassroots level.
The CEO of the academy, Prince Oluwole Ololade told the sporting press in Ibadan that what necessitated the lecture was the wiliness of the ex-international to share his experience with the younger ones so that they can learn from it.
“Path to football glory does not required skills alone, but positive characteristic, and that was the subject matter Etim Esin want to come and speaks on during the talk workshop we designed as part of activities lined-up for this year’s Soccer Summit”, Prince Ololade noted.
He added that his experience in running a football academy for more than five years now as revealed to him that what most of our players needs is beyond soccer skills to excel, but positive and characteristics.
“We run a residential soccer programme, and that has given us an opportunity to see some of these boys in their full element and we discovered that, what they needed most is attitudinal change, why most are players failed trials abroad is not that they were not skillful but, failed based on indiscipline.
“The facts remain that most of our up-coming players nowadays do not have the right attitude, and we cannot fold arms and not taking step to help them in that area.
“That was why we include a talk-show in our programmes this year, which to be anchored by no other person than Mr. Etim Esin”, said the Frenage boss.
