Maroof Yusuf Pleased To Win Title With Zamalek In First Season

Maroof Yusuf has spoken of his delight at Zamalek winning their first Egyptian Premier League title since the 2003 - 2004 season.
The 23 - year - old joined The Royal Team in 2014 but could not feature in as many games as he would have loved as he was sanctioned by the Egyptian Federation for signing a pre - contract with Al Ahly before heading to Zamalek.
“I am very happy that Zamalek won the league in my first season. When I joined, I prayed they will win the title, ” says Maroof Yusuf to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I will pick the game against Ismaily as my best performance of the season. I surprised everyone in that match, I scored and assisted a goal.
“Regarding the Confederation Cup if we will win it, anything can happen.”
Maroof Yusuf was one of the shining lights at El Shorta before he was snapped up by Zamalek last year.
