Sunday Oliseh Sweating On Fitness Of Leon Balogun Ahead Tanzania Clash
Published: September 04, 2015
Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, is sweating on the fitness of Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun ahead of tomorrow’s eagerly anticipated African Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Tanzania.
The right - back sat out the 3 - 0 win over Football College Abuja on Wednesday and has not undergone full training with the national team since then, though he was considered for the trip to East Africa.
Leon Balogun started and went the distance in Nigeria’s 2 - 0 win against Chad in the opening Group G fixture back in June.
Meanwhile, the rest of the squad had their final training session on Friday afternoon at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Of the six times the 2013 African champs have faced Tanzania in the past, they have beaten the Taifa Stars on four occasions while they drew the remaining two games.
