Obafemi Martins Scores Again As Seattle Sounders Beat Toronto

Obafemi Martins was one of the heroes again for Seattle Sounders as the CenturyLink Field outfit beat Toronto 2 - 1 in their 28th game of the season.
Martins and strike partner Clinton Dempsey, who were playing together for the first time since May 31, combined to give Seattle Sounders the lead early in the first half, with the Nigerian firing past Chris Konopka after he was set up by the USA international.
And after the visitors equalized through Eriq Zavaleta in the 59th minute, the out - of - favour Super Eagles striker provided an assist for Dempsey to score the game - winner 13 minutes from time.
Obafemi Martins’s sixth minute strike was his 11th in the league this season and gave him goals in consecutive matches.
In their next fixture, Seattle Sounders, who are third in the Western Conference standings, will travel to the Avaya Stadium to face San Jose Earthquakes next Sunday.
