Portland Timbers Star Fanendo Adi Dismisses Reports Oliseh Has Assured Him Of Super Eagles Call Up

Portland Timbers sensation Fanendo Adi has not hidden his desire to represent the national team of Nigeria since his days in Ukraine with Dynamo Kiev but reports in the local media that he is in talks with Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh over an invitation to the national team are out of topic.
The attacker’s 18 goals over the course of the season, including the playoffs, were instrumental in the Timbers winning their first piece of silverware in Major League Soccer in the recently concluded campaign.
“It is a lie that I have talked with the coach (Oliseh), I have never spoken to him, ” Fanendo Adi briefly told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 25 - year - old frontman is one of the players retained by Portland Timbers ahead of the start of preparations for pre - season training.
Fanendo Adi has not been capped by Nigeria at any level but trained with the Golden Eaglets prior to his move to Slovakia.
