Published: December 19, 2015
Former Nigeria international Onyekachi Okonkwo took the walk of shame as Mosta were beaten 3 - 0 by Birkirkara in the Maltese Premier League on Saturday.
The new acquisition was named in Mosta’s starting lineup alongside Osa Guobadia , while Ini Etim Akpan was handed a rare start for Birkirkara as a result of the unavailability of first choice goalie Justin Haber.
Ex Enyimba and Orlando Pirates star Okonkwo was first yellow - carded before his dismissal in his 67th minute.
The 33 - year - old was making his fifth appearance for Mosta since he joined them as a free agent last month.
He opened his account for his new employer in their 3 - 1 victory against St Andrews on December 6.
