Anthony Nwakaeme Voted Player Of The Week In Israel

Hapoel Beer Sheva striker Anthony Nwakaeme has been voted Player of the Week in the Israeli Premier League for the last round of games played last weekend.
The Nigerian, who received 44 percent of the votes, was picked ahead of Tal Ben Haim (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Sagiv Yehezkel (Hapoel Tel Aviv), Mahran Lala (Hapoel Haifa) and Ran Itzhak (Hapoel Kfar Saba) in that order.
“I thank the fans who elected me and it’s very flattering and shows appreciation, ” said Anthony Nwakaeme.
“I know me as an player and we as a group have many more goals to achieve this season and to reach them we will have to continue to be consistent and good.”
The 26 - year - old won the prestigious accolade following his impressive performance in The Camels 3 - 0 thrashing of Hapoel Acre on January 9.
