Why We Put In Place Standard Sports Facilities -Lead City High School Boss

The management of Lead City High School has explained the significance of having good and standard sports facilities in learning environment for school pupils.
While speaking with newsmen during the commissioning of the states-of-arts sports facilities which was recently done at the premises of the school at Jericho Ibadan, the CEO of Lead City High School, Chief Mrs. Taiwo Owoeye said the school don’t want to cut corners, and that was why it took its time in ensuring that the facilities meets the international standard.
She described sports as a vital process of complete development of pupils which aided them to grow fast both physically and academically, and this can only be achieved with good and standard facilities.
“There can only be total development when all infrastructural are well in place, it aided children grow fast both physically and academically, sports improves students in minds and in spirit.
“And we did not want to cut corners, want something good, something international and that can stand the test of times and we can be proud of”, Chief Mrs. Owoeye noted
Also speaking at the commissioning of the ultramodern Sport Complex that comprising of a soccer pitch made of astro-turf, 500-seater spectators stand, swimming pool, athletic track, basketball, volleyball and badminton court, the Chancellor Lead City University Prof. Gabriel Ogunmola urged the students to make good use of the facilities in order to build a secured future in a sound mind and a healthy body.
“There are many that are not in school due to many social and cultural factors and we must redress these through enabling the contribution of private schools. Prof. and Mrs. Owoeye have contributed most excellently in the education landscape of Ibadan and Nigerian as a whole and I’m proud of them” Prof Ogunmola opined.
Among other dignitaries that attended the epoch making event included Chairman Governing Council Lead City University, Prof Jide Owoeye, the Registrar of the institution Dr. Mrs. Bola Ayeni and parents.
