Published: March 19, 2016
Seattle Sounders youngster Tobi Jnohope has revealed that he will not reject a call-up to any of the Nigeria youth teams, though he is undecided where his international future lies at the moment.
The teenager was born in Florida 18 years ago to a Caribbean father and a Nigerian mom, meaning he can represent the United States, Nigeria and The Caribbean internationally.
“Right now I have not been called up to the United States, if I was called up to either one I would go. My dad has left the choice to me, ” said Tobi Jnohope, who is a defender, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I’m very good with the ball and I’m athletic. I also am really good at winning headers.
“This is my first year with the Sounders and I played for a club in Florida before Sounders.”
The Nigerian-American has stated the reason why he models his game after Bayern Munich versatile defender Jerome Boateng.
“I model my game after Jerome Boateng. He’s composed on the ball, great in the air, and is a presence on the field,” added Jnohope.
Tobi Jnohope will play play collegiate soccer for University of Denver in 2016.
