Chelsea Striker Ugbo Comes Out On Top In Battle With Reading Defender Gabriel Osho
Published: April 02, 2016
The Chelsea U18s earned an impressive win in the Premier Academy League on Saturday morning, beating Reading U18s 6-2 at Cobham Training Centre.
The visitors took the lead in the 11th minute but the Londoners came back firing on all cylinders in the second half, scoring six goals.
England youth international Ike Ugbo scored his 20th goal of the season in the 62nd minute before grabbing a second 12 minutes before time, and was unlucky not to restore parity for Chelsea eight minutes out of intermission when his shot hit the post.
Reading’s Nigerian defender Gabriel Osho skippered the team for this one and played the full game, while Ugbo, who troubled him throughout, went the distance as well.
The Royals striker Ade Shokunbi watched proceedings from the bench for the entirety of the match.
