Anthony Obia Brace Sinks JIKE FC In Brown Ideye Tournament

A brace from Striker Anthony Obia helped Academy Football SKE walloped JIKE FC 3-0 in their first game in the ongoing Brown Ideye Challenge Tournament currently taking place in the Garden City of Port Harcourt.
Academy Football SKE got their noses in front as early as the 1st minute of the game via the head of winger Douglas Bueka but the referee blew his whistle for a handball on the winger.
Winger Douglas Bueka could have given Academy Football SKE the lead in the 10th minute when right back Francis Akpan squared in the ball for the winger whose attempt on goal was saved by the goal keeper.
Academy Football SKE early dominance paid off in the 19th minute when Ivorian left back Guy Ghahore whip in a cross inside the box to find an unmarked Eddy Clement who slammed home to give his side the lead.
The lads didn’t relent as they continued mount pressure on their opponents.
Goal scorer Eddy Clement continued his blistering form with a ferocious shot in the 30th minute which struck the cross bar and fell out nicely for Anthony Obia whose rebound went over the bar for a goal kick.
Striker Anthony Obia doubled the lead for Academy Football SKE in the 35th minute with a lovely touch which went beneath the goal keeper as they lads went into the half break with a much deserved two goals lead.
Second half hostilities got underway with Academy Football SKE still maintaining possession with some lovely interchange of passes.
The annihilation was completed in the 65th minute when striker Anthony Obia got his brace with a well taken shot to give Academy Football SKE their third goal of the game.
JIKE FC couldn’t create any meaningful opportunity in the game as the lads showcased the stuff they are known for as one of the frontline leading Academy in the country.
Their next game comes up on the 11th of May 2016 by 4pm at the NTA Main Pitch Port Harcourt.
