We start off at the Vitality Stadium, the venue of the clash between AFC Bournemouth and West Brom. Nigeria international Victor Anichebe was missing as both teams played out a 1-1 draw. It would have been his 11th appearance in the league if he had featured.
As expected, Gabby Agbonlahor was not involved for Aston Villa in their goalless draw against Newcastle United.
Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor was an unused sub as Crystal Palace beat Stoke City 2-1 at Selhurst Park.
Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel started and played for 83 minutes as Chelsea suffered a shock 3-2 defeat away at Sunderland.
Chelsea loanee Victor Moses and Italy international Angelo Ogbonna started as West Ham surprisingly lost 4-1 at home to Swansea City. The Super Eagles star was replaced in the 59th minute, Ogbonna was booked in the 85th minute.
Fenerbahce loanee Emmanuel Emenike was introduced as a substitute in the 77th minute.
In the evening kickoff, England midfielder Ross Barkley has been included in Everton’s starting line-up against the champions Leicester City. The Foxes were winning 1-0 after 15 minutes.
