Swindon Town Trigger One-Year Contract Extension For Jonathan Obika

With a statement published on their official webpage, Swindon Town have announced that Jonathan Obika will remain with the club next season after triggering a one-year extension to his contract.
A product of Tottenham Hotspur, Obika ended his relationship with the Londoners when he penned a two-year deal with Swindon Town in 2014 with an option for a third season inserted into the contract.
Now 25, he previously spent time on loan at Yeovil Town, Millwall, Crystal Palace,Peterborough United, Charlton Athletic and Brighton while on the books of Spurs due to his lack of first team opportunities.
Jonathan Obika, who is a former England U20 international, made 27 starts and 5 substitute appearances , scoring 11 goals in the third tier in the 2015-2016 season.
The leadership of the Robins also confirmed that ex-Manchester United starlet Nicky Ajose remains under contract with the club.
