The Starters
Goalkeeper
Samuel James (4.5/10): The SJK goalkeeper produced some good saves in the first half but could do little to prevent Russia's goals.
Defenders
Abdullahi Bewene (5/10): Although he provided the assist for Iheanacho's opener, Bewene endured a shaky outing in Nigeria's defence, with Russia building two of their goals from the right side.
Benjamin Fredrick (5.5/10): The Brentford was the standout performer in a depleted Super Eagles backline.
Emmanuel Fernandez (3.5/10): The Rangers defender will be disappointed with his role in Russia's equaliser after his costly error allowed the hosts to get back into the game.
Isaac James (5/10): James showed glimpses of his defensive qualities despite Nigeria's overall struggles at the back.
Midfielders and forwards
Aderemi Adeoye (4.5/10): The Ikorodu United midfielder delivered a decent performance in the middle of the park but struggled to exert significant influence on the game.
Michael Stephen (4/10): Stephen failed to impose himself in midfield and was withdrawn at the start of the second half.
Chibby Nwoko (6.5/10): An exciting talent and one for the future. The Fulham man showed glimpses of his quality with some tricky moments.
George Wilfred (5/10): Wilfred, another of Nigeria's midfield options, struggled to help the Super Eagles maintain possession against the Russians.
Kelechi Iheanacho (7/10): Iheanacho marked his return to the Super Eagles with an impressive finish from outside the box and showed glimpses of his attacking quality.
Moses Simon (5/10: The Super Eagles captain failed to produce his usual influence before being withdrawn in the second half.
The Substitutes
Akor Adams (8/10): The Venezia striker made a positive impact after his introduction, with his late goal ensuring Nigeria avoided defeat against Russia.
Abdullahi Umar (7/10) : Umar made a significant impact after coming on, posing a constant threat to the Russian defence and providing the assist for Adams' equaliser.
Peter Edokpolor (8.5/10) : Edokpolor made an impressive impact on his debut, curling a superb effort into the net to reduce the deficit and give Nigeria hope of completing the comeback.
Umar Abubakar (6/10): Abubakar was introduced in the second half and came close to finding the back of the net, but ended up injuring the Russian goalkeeper in the process.
Vince Osuji (5/10): Osuji was introduced in the 83rd minute on his international debut as Nigeria looked to see out the game and secure a draw.
