Exclusive : New FC Ifeanyi Ubah Signing Gata Rejected Slovan Bratislava Move
Published: June 27, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Ismail Gata has rejected a move to Slovak Super Liga side šK Slovan Bratislava.
The eight-time Slovak champions had officially written to the 22-year-old that he should take part in their pre-season training, with a view to penning a deal.
But a personal call from the CEO of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Ubah, pulled the plug on the move to šK Slovan Bratislava, with the billionaire promising him that he will be rewarded handsomely if he joins his team.
On top of that, Gata was wary of traveling to Europe as a result of his experience with Albanian club FK Kukësi, after the intermediary that brokered the deal pocketed a huge sum and left him with a meager amount.
Kano Pillars had courted the attacker but the offer from FC Ifeanyi Ubah was too good to refuse.
