Published: August 08, 2016
Nigerian talents Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi have taken to social media to review the pre-season friendly between Manchester City and Arsenal staged at Nya Ullevi (Göteborg) on Sunday.
The two Super Eagles rising stars registered their names on the score sheet, with Iwobi equalizing in the 50th minute, before Iheanacho brought some respectability to the scoreline with his first goal in pre-season with two minutes to play.
Understandably, the City teenager was unhappy that his side lost their final warm up game, while the former England youth-teamer was delighted that Arsenal emerged victorious.
Iheanacho tweeted on Sunday night : “ Disappointed with the result today, but we all keep working hard and come back strongerðªð»nest games #MCFC.”
Arsenal number 17 Iwobi commented : “Final Game Of Preseason Complete , Great To End On A Win , Bring On The Season â½ï¸â¤ï¸ #AFC.”
Iwobi and his good pal Iheanacho broke into the first teams of their respective clubs during the 2015-2016 campaign.
