Report: Man Utd ahead of Arsenal, Liverpool in the race to sign former Super Eagles invitee
Published: May 02, 2024
As reported by ESPN, Manchester United are leading the race to sign former Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise who is set to be a subject of transfer tussle again this summer.
They are said to be ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool in the race for the highly-coveted forward and would not be stopped by lack of Champions League football in their pursuit.
The Red Devils are preparing for a major shake up and have set their sights on the Crystal Palace star as one of the players that could return the club back to its glory days.
The record English champions want to bring the 22-year-old to Old Trafford as a replacement for Antony who has failed to hit the heights that made the club sign him.
While Manchester United have jumped to the front queue for the French youth international, discussions are not at an advanced stage which could encourage other suitors.
Despite struggling with his fitness all season which has made him miss a large chunk of games for Crystal Palace, he has been able to prove his quality when fit.
The 22-year-old has notched double goal involvements for the Eagles for the second consecutive season having registered seven goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games.
