Lookman Pleased To Score Maiden England Goal; Charlton Whizkid Continues To Enhance Reputation
Published: October 08, 2016
Ademola Lookman has spoken of his happiness after netting his first-ever goal for England youth teams on Friday night.
The Charlton Athletic talent grabbed a goal and assist as England U20s registered a 3-1 win over Germany in an U20 International Tournament clash at John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield.
“Great 3-1 win tonight against Germany! Pleased to get my first Goal and assist tonight ð @England ð¦ð¦ð¦, ” the England U20s number eight tweeted shortly after the game.
Born in London 18 years ago, Lookman had been on the radar of a representative of the Nigeria Football Federation prior to his first call-up to the England U19s.
His strike against AFC Wimbledon has been nominated for Charlton Athletic’s Goal of the Month for September 2016, and he will have to see off competition from four other players, including the Nigerian striker Josh Umerah, to win the award.
