NFF Pleads : Come And Show Your Love For Iheanacho, Iwobi; Wear Green And White
Published: November 08, 2016
The Nigeria Football Federation are counting on the support of the fans to beat Algeria in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
The Desert Foxes are hoping to bounce back after playing out a draw with Cameroon in their opener last month, and have targeted a win in Uyo by hook or by crook.
But the Super Eagles are determined to win their second game on the trot and the NFF have urged fans to come out in full force to support the national team as it will boost the players morale.
“You and I have a great role to play to help them keep the momentum on match day two. Wear green and white on matchday, ” the Nigerian Federation said in a statement.
Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, venue of the qualifier between the two African powerhouses, has a capacity of 30,000 and the NFF hopes it will be packed house.
Premier League talents Kelechi Iheanacho ( Man City) and Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) are expected to get game time against the North African opponents, barring injury.
