Published: December 19, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Nigeria U20 international Samuel Chukwueze has seen a move to Porto fall through, contrary to sensational reports in the local media that he is set to return to Portugal and be registered for the UEFA Youth League.
It is believed that talks between Diamond Academy and Porto broke down after the dismissal of coach Jose Peseiro in June 2016, and the Nigerian club have confirmed that he is no longer joining the Primeira Liga powerhouse.
Chukwueze and his representatives are in talks with teams based in Spain, Belgium and Italy, and a decision regarding the future of the winger could be made as early as next month.
He was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal after starring at the 2015 Fifa U17s but talks broke down because Diamond Academy objected to the mode of payment of his transfer fee.
