Man City Star Yaya Toure Gives Man Of The Match Award To His Boy Iheanacho
Published: December 26, 2016
The Nigeria international hopped off the bench in the 57th minute before putting City 2-0 up with 12 minutes left on the clock. He was left with a simple task of tapping the ball in after a pass from David Silva.
The Citizens struggled in the first half but their fortune changed when manager Pep Guardiola brought Iheanacho on to stretch the play.
The 20-year-old’s strike versus the Tigers was his 12th goal in the Premier League from 19 shots on target since his debut in the 2015-2016 season.
Former African Footballer of the Year Yaya Toure was given the Man of the Match award for his display, but the Ivorian told the Sky cameras he will hand it over to his boy, Iheanacho.
