Iheanacho : Man City Coach Guardiola Told He Is Better Than Brazil Wonderkid Jesus
Published: February 02, 2017
The long-term future of Africa’s Most Promising Talent, Kelechi Iheanacho, at Manchester City remains covered in mist.
For the third straight game, the Nigeria international failed to make City’s matchday squad for a competitive fixture on Wednesday, fueling speculation he is now third choice striker at the club following the arrival of Brazil wonderkid Gabriel Jesus in the winter transfer market.
The proprietor of Taye Academy, Kennedy Ezenwere, who tutored Iheanacho before his move to the Etihad Stadium has a word of advice for his former pupil, and thinks the Super Eagle is better than Jesus.
“Kelechi is not playing because it depends on the tactics of Guardiola, he has to train harder, put in more effort and he will get back his spot, ” said Ezenwere to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It’s not because Kelechi is my boy, he is better than Gabriel Jesus. I will advice him to remain at Manchester City.”
Iheanacho, 20, is contracted to Man City until June 2021, having signed a contract extension in August 2016.
