Arsenal Hoping To Steal Super Eagles Target From Under The Noses Of Liverpool
Published: February 18, 2017
Arsenal are rivaling Liverpool for the signature of Chelsea contract rebel Dominic Solanke, 19, according to reports in the British media.
London Football says the Gunners are monitoring the situation of the England U20 international and are interested in bringing him to the Emirates whether or not Arsene Wenger remains coach.
Solanke will be a free agent in the summer but his next club will have to pay Chelsea a minimum of eight million pounds because he is a academy-trained player, having joined the Blues at the age of 8.
The 19-year-old and his camp are demanding seven times his current wages, put at £50,000 a week, before extending his contract.
Solanke is reportedly on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation with a view to a call-up to the national team in future.
